UK sole-trader tradespeople — builders, sparks, plumbers, joiners, decorators.
Quoting happens in a van at the end of a job, chasing acceptance happens over text, and the tax owed is only discovered in January. The paperwork is the part nobody trained for and nobody has time for.
How it works
Sawdust follows one job through its whole life. You build a quote on the phone, send the client a link, and they accept it without downloading anything or creating an account. The accepted quote becomes the invoice — no re-keying, no second document to keep in sync.
Payment is taken by card or recorded as cash, so the app knows what has actually landed rather than what was merely sent. That is what makes the second act possible: from real income, Sawdust works out what belongs to HMRC and holds it back, so the tax bill is money already set aside instead of a surprise.

Tokenised client link
The client gets a single link to view and accept. No app, no login, no account for them to forget.
Accept becomes invoice
An accepted quote turns straight into the invoice. The numbers are entered once and only once.
Card or cash
Take payment by card, or record cash on the spot, so the books match what is actually in the bank.
Tax held back
Income is tracked as it is paid, and the tax share is retained as you go rather than reckoned with at year end.
